The Dandelion, a charming 80-seat restaurant in the heart of Berlin, is known for its Japanese cuisine, which combines creativity with minimalism. In February 2024 by Qingqing Hu, who is also an architect and opened to her sister Shanshan Hu, the restaurant exudes a minimalist and modern atmosphere.
The Dandelion is very centrally located, especially at lunchtime, demand and crowds from the numerous offices in the area are high. All processes, from reservation to ordering to payment, must work well together.
They started with a provider with whom they were unable to integrate their card devices with the cash register and refrained from tipping. There were contacts, but they were difficult to reach and could not help with the integration. It was clear that something holistic was needed.
With luca, Dandelion has a comprehensive software solution that integrates functions such as reservation management, turnover overview and tip preferences. Qingqing Hu particularly likes the fact that luca makes it possible to manage all aspects of the restaurant via a single app. The benefits? Clear structures and a reliable contact person who takes care of all concerns.
· A central overview: Qingqing Hu and the team can view the status and number of reservations at any time via the platform. “I have access to everything, and that makes everyday life a lot easier for us,” she explains.
· More efficient handling: Work processes are bundled with just one point of contact
and communication is much faster.
· Improved customer experience: Guests benefit from easy tip preferences and seamless reservation options.
· Satisfied employees: The intuitive handling and optimised processes ensure that the team can concentrate on the guest.
For Qingqing Hu, it is clear that the solution will advance dandelion even further. Next, she would like to offer pre-orders via Luca: The companies would like to be able to select their lunch in advance in order to waste as little time as possible during the lunch break. “It's an advantage to have everything in one system, and it makes our lives easier,” she sums up.
